Shakthi is women empowering women! The organization to help, mentor, support, forge new opportunities, better quality of life for south Asian immigrant women. It provides a wide range of services to support and empower immigrant women in and around the Philadelphia area, FREE of charge. One of the key services offered by Shakthi Corporation is the confidential support line, which connects immigrant women with mentors who have walked a similar path, providing guidance and support on various topics. Shakthi focuses on organizing multiple awareness workshops and initiatives to educate the local immigrant population on this.
What we do?
Our confidential support line is available 24/7. Any women on any question or need help can reach out us to through by leaving a message at our support line Phone number. Someone will get back to you within 24 hours.
Awareness workshops: We conduct various awareness workshops on Will & Trust, Career guidance, Resume writing, Tax & Financial awareness, Parental rights, New mom support, and Cultural orientation sessions.
Fun activities: We not only educate, but also entertain women through games, henna, music and dance, yoga and zumba sessions.
Career Guidance: We have a whatsapp group that connects women who are interested in career with mentors. Local employment opportunities are also posted in these groups for people of interest. Workshops and seminars are conducted on resume writing.
Recognition of Women: We honor and recognize women in the area for their achievements.
New Mom and Pregnancy support: We have a whatsapp group that connects new moms and pregnant moms. They can post their questions and network with other fellow moms in the area.
Assistance for those women who have been affected by domestic violence and abuse
